A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW ON ADSORPTION REFRIGERATION SYSTEM

Abstract

Adsorption refrigeration system plays a vital role in refrigeration applications due to use of low grade energy. This article presents overall review of adsorption refrigeration system. Present review mainly concern with adsorption refrigeration system with the use of activated carbon/methanol, silica gel/water and zeolite/water as adsorbent/adsorbate pair. Literature presents, multi bed, for the high value of COP and specific cooling power. Minimum two bed system is preferable for the continuous cold production in adsorption refrigeration system. By improving thermal conductivity of adsorbent, COP of the adsorption refrigeration system can improve.
